GROUP LISTENING NEW BRIGHTON
Rambling closer to the release of their heartwarming new concept album Walks, the inimitable Group Listening have shared another spirited composition. Brought to life by Paul Jones' touching recollection of the jaunt that inspired this particular work, 'New Brighton' captures the spirit and endurance required to face the blustery weather and to keep plodding onwards. He explains: “Stephen and I were up in Birkenhead to play a gig, and we went for an explore to the Wallasey seafront, along New Brighton beach. Quite a windy day if I remember correctly. Incredible views out to sea. Across the promenade and on to the old fort, then up to the pier house and back down again. We stopped at a chip shop, took in the salty air and felt all the better for it." Walks will arrive on the 10th of May via PRAH Recordings and we'll be testing it out on our own little excursions when it does. -Holly Mullineaux
